Geocache Description:

Approach via Gordon Street and park in the upper lot next to the Liriodendron Mansion for easiest access.
Approach via Broadway, park in the lower lot, and walk up toward the mansion for a short hike up a wood-lined stairway or inclined gravel driveway.

The Liriodendron mansion is one of the best kept secrets in the Bel Air area. This historic 1898 summer home of Johns Hopkins Hospital founder Dr. Howard Kelly is now a wedding, conference, and arts facility.

It was also recently approved by Harford County Parks and the Liriodendron Foundation to host its one and only Geocache.

The placement and camo may make this find difficult for beginners, but experienced cachers should have no trouble. No bushwacking is needed.

Looking like a hiker or nature walker will help with stealth.

Plan to stay and visit the outdoor grounds,
tour the mansion, and hike the adjacent stretch of the Maryland & Pennsylvania (Ma & Pa) Trail. View the Liriodendron website for tour hours-open sunrise to sunset.

The container will not hold objects or trackables--just a logsheet.
