A small lock & lock on the site of the Walton Park Hunt Club.
Back in the day, before all these houses were here, there was a hunt club. At the end of Walton Park road, the road turned to dirt and gravel and continued into the woods, ending at the lake. My family weren't members, but our next door neighbors, the Thorntons, were and they let me come with them occasionally. That's where I learned to flycast and shoot a bow. It was a great place to hang out. A little wild and a little civilized. Now it's got paved paths and a doggie poo collection station. Sad, but I remember how it used to be... Enjoy the hike, it's short with very little bushwacking, if you find the side trail. Nice view still, but when you look at the lake, try and imagine, no houses, and no roads... That's how I remember it.
