Geocache Description:

Cache # 18 Everton to Beechworth. This cache is located to take advantage of yet another change in the scenery along the Rail Trail. It is accessible easily by bicycle, with a little more effort required from walkers and car drivers! It is approximately 500 metres from Bartsh Road.

This gully on the first downhill run out of Beechworth is always much cooler in the heat of summer than elsewhere on the Trail. This area is refreshingly green, with tall timber (many Stringybark gums) and a little babbling stream flowing through the gully. When putting the cache out there were rosellas, blue wrens and swallows nearby. The bridge has beautifully curved brick supports and is a nice spot to stop and admire the gully. As this is a high traffic area some stealth may be required. The cache is small (but not tiny). There is a LOG sheet only so please bring your own PEN. CONGRATULATIONS - FTF - Purpledreamer!!
