Approx. 4 mi. hike one way from ER nature center. Trail is in great shape (almost too good). Fairly moderate hike for the casual adult. Involved, but doable for the rugged kid. The view and cache find should make the trek worthwhile however. I took a long time in finding the right location for this one.
I've always loved this spot. It is a great destination for those seeking a nice 1/2 day adventure. 8.25 mi. round trip with another newer cache in the area to make for a nice "remote" 2 for 1ner (thanks glenn.fish). Container is, well,.... I suppose that would spoil it. Just keep looking. You'll find it. Be bear aware as always out here. A black bear with two cubs was spotted on placement night. BYOP! It would be a real shame if you missed out on logging this one. Take a photo!! Placed under Chugach State Park permit 11-007 -Bara-
