Geocache Description:

In the 1880's the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad began
construction of a narrow gauge railroad through the northern part
of tha San Rafael Swell. After spending over $200,000 laying the
grade for the tracks, the project was put to an end and no rails
were ever laid. Remnants of the grade are still visible from Green
River to Elmo.

This Railroad Grade Series of caches is meant to give you a tour of
the grade and highlight some of the features along the way.

This cache is placed near a rock house built to house workers during the construction of the grade.

Most vehicles should be able to drive to within 50 feet of the cache on a dry day.

The cache is a small container with only a log book and pencil. We
hope you enjoy the caches.

Others in this series are:
Eat At The Y
Culvert
Yellowstone
Cutout
No Bridge
Rock Pile
Culvert Too
