Geocache Description:

Washington's Camp - A Moment of Terra Alta's History #1

In 1784, George Washington, Bushrod Washington, and James Craik and his son made a horseback journey to inspect their western lands and investigate the feasibility of building a canal from the Potomac River to westward waters. On their return trip they camped for a night near the present site of Hopemont before continuing southward through the South Branch Valley and east to Rockingham, VA.

You are searching for a small container suitable for small trades; some swag is included to start it off. Pencils are included, too, but it's always wise to bring your own writing tool. "Small, round metal disc with hole at top" awaits the FTF
