North Star Trail - One of Many Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Scottie: The close-by construction and earth moving has now covered all traces of this cache. It needs to be archived after 14 years. Thanks to all the geocachers who took on the challenge of looking for the cache container. It was in an original old Cranbrook Brick Works brick so maybe it will be located and excavated in years to the future.

Geocache Description:

This cache is UP THE SLOPE above the paved Trail. It is placed at this location so as to conform to the required distances needed between cache GZ and active rail. There is absolutely NO reason to leave the paved portion of the Trail in the direction of the railway.

It is good to see that caches set along the North Star Trail take on many different forms. Many power trails consist of a series of 35 mm film containers hidden under piles of rocks or sticks. As you will see, this cache is definitely NOT one of these sorts of hides.

For those cachers having difficulty getting to this cache … there is an opening in the fence and a trail towards the cache at N 49 32.241 W 115 45.198 on the North Star Trail.
