Park at Whipps Ledges Picnic area in Hinckley Reservation. This cache will take you through a beautiful forest and along a river. It might allow for some good bird watching along the way.
Walk along the driveway back toward the road and take the path behind the split rail fence. Follow the Buckeye Trail to the path along the river.
The cache is a camouflage painted, 6-inch, PVC pipe. Goodies inside include a harmonica, free zoo pass and other great stuff. The hole punch in this cache is a sun. If you find a disposable camera, take a photo of yourself or your group. The best photo of the year will be featured in the Cleveland Metroparks Emerald Necklace Newsletter.
Cleveland Metroparks has placed 6 Geocaches within its borders. People who seek and find several of our caches will be invited to an end of the year celebration and be eligible for prizes. There is a different hole punch in each of our caches. Sometime in February a brochure will be available with a scorecard to record each of the hole punches. You can pick up a brochure at any of the Cleveland Metroparks Nature Centers or by e-mailing your name and address to Geocaching@clevelandmetroparks.com. You can also download a copy of the scorecard by visiting www.clevelandmetroparks.com.
