Park at Quarry Rock Picnic Area on Solon Rd in South Chagrin Reservation. For a longer and more scenic walk you can park at the Arboretum in South Chagrin Reservation.
Walk back out the driveway and across the bridge to your right. Go right from the guard rail and follow the path into the forest. Walk along the ridge overlooking the Chagrin River.
The cache is a camouflage painted, 6-inch, PVC pipe. Goodies inside include a harmonica, free zoo pass and other great stuff. The hole punch in this cache is a star. If you find a disposable camera, take a photo of yourself or your group. The best photo of the year will be featured in the Cleveland Metroparks Emerald Necklace Newsletter.
Cleveland Metroparks has placed 6 Geocaches within its borders. People who seek and find several of our caches will be invited to an end of the year celebration and be eligible for prizes. There is a different hole punch in each of our caches. You can pick up a brochure with a scorecard to record your punches at any of the Cleveland Metroparks Nature Centers or by e-mailing your name and address to Geocaching@clevelandmetroparks.com. You can also download a copy of the scorecard by visiting www.clevelandmetroparks.com.
