Yep, you've all seen them! The old and derelict buildings, foundations, and other remnants of days gone by. This series is all about those cool places and objects you find while out caching that you wouldn't have normally taken a second look at or, perhaps, even seen it at all if it weren't for the caches nearby.

I've been wanting to place a series out to highlight these interesting locations that I've come across for some time now. You won't find any closed down businesses, empty overgrown parking lots, or houses that haven't been lived in for years in this series. These are for those structures that are truly abandoned. Hence the title: Abandoned Structures Series (or ABS for short since the first acronym I thought of isn't as kid-friendly )

I have just a handful of these locations picked out to place caches at and will be doing so as I get them ready. And of course, as I discover more, more caches will be placed.

This Cache:
There are two ways to access this cache. When I placed it, it was by kayak during the Kayak Trek 14 event. We started east of Hastings and came upon this site on our way to Middleville. If you choose to do it by kayak, any time will be fine. However, if you plan to go by land, do so during daylight hours only.

You'll be looking for a non-camoed container hidden on the structure itself. Bonus points for anyone who can tell what this structure used to be. Place back as you found it. Oh and FTF was given out to those that attended the Kayak Trek 14 event.
This cache will only be available for 3 months before it is archived.
