Geocache Description:

One of a series of caches placed along the lakeside walk down the western shore of Windermere from Wray castle to Ferry House.

This cache was placed rather further away from the shore to avoid the crowd around the lake but still has superb 180 degree views up and down the lake and islands.
Its hidden by a single stone so you don't have to dig around!

Its a small black L&L box containing log note etc. & small quantities of the usual tat.
Its location was chosen by 10th Kendal Cubs on a walk from their camp @ Ambleside Hut.

Sadly it seems to be somewhat insecure with some Geocoins "evaporating" from here and there is the possibility that closeness to parking might make this too easy for the unscrupulous to visit.
