Geocache Description:

We found the lodge while looking for a cache here which has since been archived. The cache appeared to have been missing for a while so we placed a micro in the lodge at the time. I guess it can now be listed on the site.

From the original cache page:

"Les loges de berger sont de petites maçonneries en pierres sèches souvent situées dans les bois. Elles servaient d’abri contre les intempéries et les prédateurs, voire de logement temporaire aux bergers qui gardaient leur troupeau. La plupart se trouvent dans le nord-est de la Haute-Vienne sur les sentiers de découverte des Monts d’Ambazac. Celle ci se trouve juste dans la Creuse sur le circuit "puy des roches" de ~3 km. Un peu plus haut en trouve une table d'orientation avec belle panorama.
The "loges de berger" are small stone buildings regularly found in these areas. They used to be shelters against weather and predators for the sheperds . Most are to be found in the north-east part of the Haute Vienne. This one can be found on the circuit of "Puy des Roches" a nice walk of ~3 km. A little higher is a nice panorama."
