A44 CACHE & DASH - VALLEY VIEW Traditional Geocache

These Cache & Dashes are nice easy stops to break up a long journey and giving you a chance to look at vistas and find hidden places missed when driving.
Not to be done at night as you'll miss the view!
You do not need to go near the road to get the cache.
Layby parking near GZ.
Please take all normal precautions when stopping in a lay-by near a busy road!

Accessing the layby:
Heading WEST on the A44 to Aberystwyth the lay-by is on the right, 1 mile past the Bwlch Nant Yr Arian visitor centre and just as you start to turn on a sharp 40mph signed left-hand bend going down hill. So slow down and indicate early.
Heading EAST on the A44 the lay-by is on the left, on a sharp 40mph signed right-hand bend at the top of a long winding climb uphill.

There are fine views down the valley to the sea, with a steep drop in front of you!
In the distance, you can see the Pendinas Monument on the hill above Aberystwyth which is 10 miles away.
Buzzards and Red Kites are seen flying in this area, especially around feeding time around mid-afternoon at the Bwlch Nant yr Arian centre.
