Geocache Description:

In an old growth white pine forest in Arnprior, Ontario. Lovely spot for a walk.

Gillies Grove is in Arnprior , a town in eastern Ontario. It lies within a transition zone between the deciduous forests to the south and the northern boreal forest that covers much of Canada. The Grove contains dozens of giant white pine trees, rare plants and a rich variety of bird and animal life. Scarlet tanagers, pileated woodpeckers, red-shouldered hawks and barred owls all call the Grove home.

When hidden, cache contained an old cut nail from our 100 plus year old Arnprior home, a token, a tracking bug, and of course, a log book and pencil.
