Geocache Description:

Like them or loath them , renewal energy sources such as wind turbines are here.
There are proposals for 2 45m high wind turbines at the farm here to be built by 2013, so enjoy the unobstructed view whilst you can.

Murdieston is one of a number of property names in this area ending in (ton) -toun. It is an old Scots naming custom with the person living there's name (Murdoch) & toun. In this case Murdieston was corrupted from the Murdochstoun as shown on very early maps.
