Please do not dismantle stones on the bridge in your eagerness to search for the cache.
The Goodie Water issues from the southeast corner of the Lake of Menteith, flowing 11 miles (17 km) southeastwards across Flanders Moss before joining the River Forth near Easter Frew.
The land at Thornhill used to be peatbog but was drained by the "Moss Lairds"
Remnants of Flanders Moss can be found nearby.
The Goodie Water was important in draining the land. Upstream it was cut in a canal to facilitate this. The bridge here was a significant crossing point on what was the original cart track from Fords of Frew to Thornhill.
Cache is at the SW end.
