A small cache near the Waainek Water Treatment plant. The ground here is quite swampy, so don't try this soon after heavy rains or in unsuitable shoes!
This has always struck me as a very pretty spot on the outskirts of Grahamstown (perhaps not surprising, seeing as it is so damp!).
The Waainek Water Treatment plant is one of the two plants that supply Grahamstown with water (for many years it was the only one leading to frequent water shortages when in my student days!).
There is safe parking off the N2 (see the waypoint below), and you don't need to go anywhere near the main road in order to find the cache.
The cache was placed in conjunction with the "Let's Cache Grahamstown" event (GC31FE7).
