How to find the way to start the tour to cache
area?
Coming from Iraklion take the National Road E 75 direction Agios
Nikolaos take the exit at Neapoli to the Old Road. Follow the way
to Kastelli, Fourni, Karidhi to Skinias. For the walk in the
riverbed (we needed about 1 hour and 45 minutes) park here at
waypoint1. Details see Website with many impressive views. Near the
beach a moderate climb is needed to find the cache.
We don´t recommend to do this walk in winter times because we have
no experience whether the riverbed in winter is dry enough for
walking.
We did this tour with 2 cars and placed one at waypoint 1and one at
waypoint 2.
If you like to do a short walk follow the road down to Vlichadia by
car and park at waypoint 2. From here it is easy to find the way
down to the beach.
The Cache:
The cache is a small one with a logbook, pencil, sharpener and
something to trade. Additional we put in a TB. We think it is easy
to find.
