This cache was placed in memory of the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital (S.E .H.) in Humboldt, SK that is scheduled for demolition in the fall of 2011. Even though the building will be gone soon, the memories made here will live on forever in the hearts of those who served here for almost 100 years. The original S.E.H. was built near this location by the St. Elizabethan sisters in 1911, and was replaced in 1955 with a more modern facility. 2011 marks the year when the 1955 building was also replaced with a new, more modern building.Be sure to visit the history wall on the public street in the Humboldt District Hospital and the Humboldt Museum for a detailed story. With permission from the land owners, a large ammo container has been hidden near the first hospitals in Humboldt. This is a first aid/safety supply exchange cache. If you need a bandaid or a gauze dressing, please help yourself. Be sure to leave supplies for the next fellow-cacher who might be in need of first aid. When originally placed the cache contained a first aid kit for the FTF, as well as: a log book, an emergency blanket, a camo foldable H2O bottle, tissue, an Emergency marker cones, a reflective orange hat, a St. John’s first aid pin, a white cross/red heart key chain, SEH foundation button, and, of course, bandaids. 2 new travel bugs are also waiting in this cache to be retrieved and started on their journey. They are in a camel race to the Middle East and need a quick start before winter sets in.
