When you find the cache site you can look east over the Valley site, some of the existing buildings just about visible. You can see why this site was chosen as the valley provides good cover from detection from the air and ground. You can also see the 7 Mile long security fence which surrounds the 87 acre site.
What you can't see is what’s under your feet, below the cache site is one of the three tunnels. The North and South tunnels and one main central tunnel that all leed to chambers which were used to store chemical weapons.
At the end of the North and South tunnels were ventilation stacks. These both stood in the fields above the cache and were well known landmarks until they were removed in the early 90's.
local miners were brought in to dig the tunnels at one point they were extracting 1000 tons of Limestone a day. The tunnels were driven into the hillside up to a length of 250 Meters and are joined together with a series of interlinking chambers. When completed stored 3120 tons of Mustard Gas.
The cache might contain a clue to find the bonus cache Valley Works “Woodside”.
