Geocache Description:

This cache is listed as Church Micro 2123.

St. Martins Parish Church was built in 1866. It is part of the parish of the Isle of Scilly and one of six churches in the parish. Within the church can be found a corner stone from a lancet believed to be from the church on the island of St.Helens where the first church was established on the Islands in the 13th century. The vicar is situated on St. Marys and has to travel by boat to conduct services for the islands congregation.

A delightful and intimate little church.

The cache is a 35m container with a log. Please have a pen to sign the log. You do not have to go onto church premises to retrieve the cache. Busy road by IOS standards be aware of muggles.

PLEASE NOTE - THE CACHE IS NOT IN THE DRY STONE WALL

“If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats page found via the Bookmark list”
