Welcome to Springhurst/Naringa Cemetery. Feel free to wander around this well-kept place seemingly in the middle of the countryside.
This area is known as Naringa - named in honour of a previous indigenous
family.
This site is a short detour off the black top and easily accessible when travelling in either direction along the Freeway.
It is one of 16 sites on a self-drive Eco-tour put together by Springhurst/Byawatha Hills Landcare Group. (Brochures are available from Wangaratta Visitors’ Centre)
As usual when in the country keep your eyes peeled for the usual inhabitants – field mice, snakes and spiders.
This cache is NOT recommended to be attempted at night due to the proximity of a farm house. Torchlights might arouse suspicion.
Those cachers who have an aversion to micro’s, will be glad to know we have placed a regular-sized cache here with log book, pencil, a few swaps including a pathtag and a flag for the lucky FTF team.
