This is #13 of the Oyate Trail Geocache series.For a detailed description see cache # 11.
Yankton became the first territorial capital of the Dakota Territory in 1861-1883. A real life model of the original building still stands approx. 20 miles west of the cache site in Riverside park, if you wanted to see it. The capital was moved to Bismark ND in 1883. There is room for small trade items-This is NOT snow friendly.
