Geocache Description:

Granithead has been caching for 10 years and the first cache I found in 2004 was one of his hides. He has found caches that range from park-and-grabs to Owl’s Head and Whitewall Mountain. I noticed that he recently found his 2000th cache so I decided to hide a cache to honor this momentous occasion.

I thought he’d prefer to have a walk to a cache with his name on it so I placed one that is 0.75 miles by trail from the suggested parking. If you try to access the cache from any other direction you will probably be crossing private land.

There are 2 other new caches along this good old woods road that can be found on the way to this cache. Just stay on the obvious good woods road and don’t take any of the other narrower intersecting trails until you are 100 feet from the cache. The last 100' are on a dead-end spur trail that has some undergrowth. There is a "tee" intersection of 3 good woods roads 1/2 mile in where you will take a left. Also make sure to wear orange during hunting season. The gunfire you hear is from a nearby shooting range just down the road and well away from the caches.

First to find prize is a set of unactivated travel bug tags. The cache container is a 4"x6" Lock-n-Lock clear container. Granithead may not be the first cacher to find this cache but I know he'll get there in good time.
