Food Storage Hide Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

BlueRajah: As there's been no cache to find for months, and the cache owner has no logged in since 27 October 2012 I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact me in the next three months if you have repaired the cache, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, I will be happy to unarchive it.

Thank you,

Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden on the grounds of an over-grown, and under-kept office building directly across the street from the Lindon Cannery of the LDS Church. This is a very unique camoed food storage can that comes from this cannery that I acutally dry-packed for my family's own food storage many years ago. Take care when removing the lid please and place it back exactly the same way you find it:)

If you drive enough around Utah County you will see numerous orchards and farms. Many of these are owned by the LDS church. The crops are harvested and canned here for world wide distribution to the needy of any denomination. Local members of the LDS church can come here and get grocery items to help in times of need as well. In return they are required to provide service either at the cannery or in some other assigned capacity.

The LDS church encourages its members to keep a 3 month supply of food/water/fuel available at all times.
Anyone is welcome to come to the cannery to dry-pack food in cans or mylar bags, for your family's own needs at wholesale costs.

I hope you like this hide. I had fun doing it.
