This is a replacement for another nearby cache I used to have in the area - Welcome, CaverSpencer to Spencer. Unfortunately, the highway department seemed to see fit to pile mounds of snow every year on top of the old hiding position, making it inaccessible all winter - and typically gone in the spring. This year, I decided to replace it but in a safer location, which should be able to be accessed year-round.
The original cache was placed in tribute to my caching brother who is known on here as CaverSpencer... Fortunately he got to find it, so I figured I'd fix this permanently with the new hide..
The title of this cache has two meanings. I fairly regularly have 'Spencer Calling' on my phone... and if you use the instrument here, the person receiving your call can also have that same opportunity.
One more thing - the people across the street which run the opal shop are very friendly. They made it a habit of saying hi to any Cachers who were finding the old cache. So if you happen to be talked to by a friendly shopkeeper, well, don't say I didn't warn you!
