Yet another twist on a 'FOLLOW' the Grand River Adventure, by Water not likely Land; with a cache log to sign at the end. It starts at the Cambridge-Paris Rail Trail Head (P1), and Ends in Paris (above the Dam, at P2); plus features a Haunted Mill and Monster Tree mid-way Picnic area. The CACHE is NOT at the Posted Bogus Coordinates; but the WheriGo will lead you to it.
Have a delightful experience, drifting down this 21km section of the Grand River (~5 hrs) while letting your WheriGo enabled device find the 5 required 'crossing' ZONES in the background. If you're really ambitious, load up the many existing riverside caches to expand your caching adventure. Remember that the WheriGo's 'Save' and 'Resume' will allow you to temporarily switch to other applications, for these side trips; and/or to break up your adventure over several visits.
The definition of 'crossing', for the purpose of this WheriGo, includes anything that crosses; used to cross; or was planned to have crossed 'The Grand'. This makes zone collection by 'floating down the Grand River' ideal.
The 'river adventure' Start and End Points are identified by posted Parking Coordinates. And, once the required zones are registered in the WheriGo, it will provide the means to find the Final Cache.
The WheriGo MUST START at the defined 'Upstream' location, with the ZONES found in-order. Each will appear in the INVENTORY section of the WheriGo, as they are found.
Alternative LAND Access -
========================
Caution: Maybe not without getting wet and please stay off the ice. While there is an ~19Km Rail Trail nearby; there has been no attempt to bring the zones to them; so this will likely provide no time advantage over the water method.
You can spend time on Google Earth attempting to guess which 'crossing's this WheriGo uses, for its Zone Triggers; but you'll have to head out to capture them by bike or on foot. While maybe making this WheriGo questionably 'Winter Friendly', with access to a floating vessel optional; this method is quite a different challenge. You must blindly enter, then exit each zone 'in-order', for the trigger to occur. Floating through them will be much easier.
