This is a multi-cache located on the private property of the CC Land Pirates. Park in the driveway. There are two stages, with the coordinates and a key in the first stage. The key will be used to open the second stage, which is a small cache shaped like a chest. Please ensure that the key and coordinate paper end up in the first stage micro container when you have finished your find. We kindly request that noone search for this cache after dark so we do not get spooked.
We got a beautiful black and white rescue cat about five years ago named Milo. He was rescued from a home on Lake Erie that had seven cats whose owner passed suddenly. We were told that he was an independent character who loves people. We changed his name to Poptiar and quickly fell in love. Super tolerant of everyone and constantly ready to roll over on his back and be cute, he became our most favorite cat ever. He has one drawback though, a dark side, if you will. He is an excellent hunter and has caused countless bloody and macabre scenes to unfold in and around our house. Once a bloody mouse carcass rolled out of my pajama bottoms as I put them on....once he dragged a least weasel in our house(the smallest carnivore in the world and extremely rare to see) and had an epic, noisy, all-night fight with this ferocious creature... and our basement floor at times looks like a bird slaughterhouse with feathers, blood and parts scattered around. A side note...the least weasel he killed is the creature in our avatar.
This cache is named after the most outrageous of these dark and bloody moments. We heard a loud commotion coming from the large pine tree by our garage one Spring day and went out to investigate. To our utter shock, Poptiar was on the very outer edge of the pine tree about 5 feet above the level of the roof, and many birds were going nuts. What started as concern for his safety, quickly turned to horror as we realized he was calmly plucking baby birds from their nest and consuming them. When he was finished he slowly climbed down the inner branches of the tree and walked in to the driveway and languidly rolled around, basking in the afterglow of another successful hunt.
In your hunt for the cache, if you see Poptiar or his gnarly brother Mr. Freshness, be sure to say hello. The cache will contain a nice FTF prize, the spectacular Team Myth South African geocoin(the finest we have ever seen in our short career), and a small amount of fun swag. Have a blast, say hello, and remember to lock the second stage of the cache with the key, and return it to the first stage.
