Congrats to Calico2 for FTF.
There is no Historic spot that grips our Hearts and stirs our sympathies as does a Burial Ground. It is not only because it is in itself a land-mark, set apart with established boundaries for a fixed purpose, but that it is the tie that links us to those who have gone before us, and a symbol of the immortality that is our hope. -- Estella Bradburn Fisher, May 30, 1930. This cache is part of our “Welcome to the Neighborhood” series. The history of a neighborhood lies in its cemeteries and Brooklyn Centre is rich in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio history. As you search for the cache, look at the names around you and I bet you will recognize more then one. See the Fish Family plot? They were one of the first pioneer families in Brooklyn Centre and Isaiah Fish was the first white child born in the region in 1812. And did you see the Denison Family plots? They settled here in 1821 and this cemetery used to be part of their farm and orchard. You are looking for a small camo pill bottle. Please only cache during cemetery hours, Sunrise to Sunset. Please be respectful of the residents. CITO
