This area doesn't look like much. In fact, it looks pretty bad
and you're probably wondering why here. Stop a minute and look
around. Behind this parking area is new construction. Lexington
Park is growing and new spaces are being built every year. Look
across the street. See the Enterprise Car Rental. That use to be a
bank. Buildings are being repurposed to fit new needs as the
Lexington Park area evolves. Look behind that building and you can
see a big sign saying Stop Wishing, Go Fishing. While things make
change, that saying probably will not. Fishing is a normal pass
time for many of the residents in the area and that particular
store has been in the Lexington Park area for over 40 years, first
further south on 235 and then in its current location. The property
where this cache is, hasn't quite made it. Once it was a thriving
local gas station/store but now its waiting for the next round of
innovative ideas for a new use for the property.
Things never stay still, even towns. Things are always in
transition.
