Parking should not be too bad during all times except winter. There are good pullouts in several places along the highway. I would advise against doing this series in the winter. In the summer, this is open range so you may encounter bovine cachers on the trail as well.
On all the older and topo maps, what we now know as US 191 was once State Road 33. You can see the old road grade in many places along Indian Canyon. Here I found a continuous piece that runs for just over a mile and hid a power trail of sorts. Just like mile markers do, the cache markers increase going north and east. You could do these one at a time hiking up and down the hill each time or walk the whole length. The terrain from the road to the caches is steep in most places. The old road grade is very gradual but it is uneven and has become quite overgrown. I can’t guarantee that one way would be easier than the other, but one thing is for sure, you will see some great scenery and possibly wildlife. I have seen elk, deer, bear, etc. Have fun. JC
