Pietra Ligure E' stato un roccione calcareo che si innalza a due passi dal mare a dare il nome a questa graziosa località: qui sorge il Castrum Petrae, un sito fortificato che servì come difesa nel Medioevo. Era stato scelto bene il luogo: alle spalle monti rocciosi, rendono mite il clima per tutto l'anno sulle sue spiagge sabbiose, in estate i venti di mare che si alternano la sera con i venti di terra allietano le serate con fresche brezze Pietra Ligure possiede oggi una splendida passeggiata a mare sotto le palme e moderne strutture turistiche: gli stabilimenti balneari arricchiscono il lungo arenile, dove ci si può rilassare al sole, pranzare, frequentare scuole di surf e di nuoto o praticare l'acqua gym. Il suo incantevole centro storico, cuore della città, è rimasto immutato nei secoli, scorci di vita di un tempo, si possono ancora ammirare percorrendo i carruggi e le piazze, oggi come allora piene di vita, dove osterie, taverne e botteghe offrono sapori e creano piacevoli atmosfetere.
