While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

Geocaches which have not been maintained or the owner has not responded will not be taken out of the archive

Geocache Description:


Hellestøstranden er en sandstrand i Sola kommune, Rogaland. Her finner man også Hellestøfjell, eller Hellestøveten som den og kalles, som har blitt brukt som et kjent sjømerke i lang tid. Hellestøfjellet har en høyde på 92 moh. Hellestø ligger sørvest for Stavanger lufthavn og sentrum i Sola.

Cachen ligger inne i en av flere åpninger i fjellet.

Vennligst ikke let etter denne når det er mørkt.

Parkere kan man gjøre på utsiktpunktet over Hellestøstranden, i nordenden av stranden. Følg traktorsti over veien. Husk å lukk eventuelle grinder.

Hellestøstranden is a sandy beach in Sola, Rogaland. Here you will also find Hellestøfjell or Hellestøveten, like it`s also been called, which has been used as a familiar beacon for a long time. Hellestøfjellet has a height of 92 meters. Hellestø is located southwest of Stavanger Airport.

The cache is located in one of several openings in the rock. Please, do not look for this cache after dark.

Parking can be done at the lookout of Hellestøstranden, in the north end of the beach. Follow trail on the other side of the road. Remember to close any fencegates.
