Flood Control - Can't TOP This Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Inmountains: I just stopped by and that "anti homeless" fence that was installed really eliminates any hide except for burying a cache, which I won't do. I may visit the site again, but will need a ladder to check the fence post caps, since they are 10 feet high, to see if any will accommodate a 3D cache.

Geocache Description:

A small cache, bring your own writing instrument.

Orange County is criss crossed with miles and miles of flood control channels. For most of the year, people never give them any thought. But when we get rain, so much of OC land is covered in cement and asphalt that the water has to run somewhere. Most of it ends up in these flood control channels. There is nothing fancy about this cache, log only.

An interesting side note, these channels do hold quite a bit of wildlife. Ducks, Herons, Cranes, Opossum, Racoons, Squirrels and more can be seen in these channels.
