Geocache Description:

An easy P&G along Plaunt Road.

Our family has been driving by this road for over thirty years. The name peaked my curiostiy and I discovered that the name is actually part of one of my cousin's family. When I asked a little of the history of the Plaunt family, he told me that the Plaunt family of Northcote are descendants of the Jean Plante who came from France around the mid 1650’s. They settled first in Quebec, then moved to Ontario. By the late 1860’s they changed the spelling of their name to Plaunt (thus keeping the same pronunciation to the French name). The cache, a camouflaged p pill bottle should be easy to spot, as it's not hidden under anything.
