Geocache Description:


Ever want to go on a long hike ???? But don't want to do it alone ... Here's your chance .. October 22 !!
Hike will start @ 9 am in parking lot at Petersburg Pass off of rt.2 in Petersburg,NY . We will head North on the Taconic Crest Trail ...Stopping about mid way for lunch @ 'The Snow Hole' and ending at rt 346 in Pownel NY. Log book signing and raffle will be held at the lunch spot !!
Hike is 7.57 miles and will take approximately 8 hrs to complete . The first 1500 feet is pretty steep but than the trail levels off . You will need to pack a lunch, snacks and plenty of water, and more water !!
I will be bringing a first aid kit, just in case nature isn't so nice. If you plan on attending , please log it sooner rather than later so that we can organize transportation bringing us back to the start on rt 2.

Rain Date will be the next day, Sunday 23rd!!
