McArthur Island Treasure Hunt (MITH)
The McArthur Island Treasure Hunt (MITH) series is a geo-training playground for new geocachers with a variety of cache types and difficulty levels. Caches are safe, family-friendly, and some are wheelchair accessible. All caches promote the highest standards of geocaching etiquette by encouraging cachers to practice low impact caching, respect other park users, and trade responsibly.
Most of all, they are meant to be fun!
Small sized container in honour of a popular group of island residents. Cache is well hidden but if you use your geosenses it should be easy to track down – please replace exactly as you found it, not too near and not too far. TOTT is sometimes helpful.

Deer are abundant in the Kamloops area and a resident group of deer call McArthur Island home. Between Whitetail Deer and Mule Deer, the Mule Deer tend to be larger and have bigger ears, which is where their name comes from. Mule Deer antlers are forked where the antlers on Whitetails have small branches coming off one main branch. In the tail department the Mule Deer have smaller tails that are white with black tips. The Whitetail Deer have much bigger tails that are white with brown on top. There are frequently seen on the disc golf course and in the area around the BMX track. Even though they live in the city, deer are still wild animals and deserve extreme caution.
