There is a lot to see and do on the island...walking, running, golfing, baseball, soccer, wildlife watching, flower gazing, and geocaching just to name a few! This puzzle will have you stopping around the island to read the many dedication plaques of the people that helped make MacArthur Island the popular place it is today.
This is a simple puzzle where you just need to find ABC and DEF. The difficulty is in remembering to stop and read the plaques while you are participating in the many other activities.
The co-ordinates to the cache are:
N 5 0 4 1 . A B C
W 1 2 0 2 2 . D E F
- A While you stop and enjoy the view aross the river, what is the last number of Sam Zielke's year of birth minus 1?
- B The third number of the year Jack Gregson was made a Freeman of the City of Kamloops minus 1?
- C What is the digital root of the year that the Norbrock Stadium was re-opened by Mayor Mel?
- D Count how many regulation-sized soccer fields there are in total on the Island and subtract 3. To cheat you can find a map on the Island and count them!
- E A peaceful spot to read a book. What is the day Berth E. Elliott was born plus 1?
- F There is only one number on the bench honouring Frank & Kathy. Subtract 5 from this number.
When you find the numbers corresponding to the letters, put them into the co-ordinates and voila you will find the cache!
