Geocache Description:

Y'all either already know or are about to: I like climbing trees. Not that I'm particularly amazing at it, just that I do.
Of note: I did not break one branch in the process of placing this cache. I'm sure you can do the same with a little effort. But: climb at your own risk. Just cuz I'm crazy doesn't mean you need to be.

This is an easy find, but not so easy to sign. Thus, please physically sign the log to claim the find. If you spot it, but don't feel up to the climb, that's fine, feel free to post a note about it. (Especially if you've got a good story to go along with it! That _is_ a major part of placing these for me...)

One day, Queen Ant of The_Ant_Farm, Monkey, Porkchop, LittleUn, Kriffer, and I were all out for a walk after they all went to a movie with Reeka42 and a follow up lunch with me too at a local buffalo wings establishment.

I'd been out looking for a bike and come away feeling pumped, but not satisfied (the bike I was gonna get was gonna have to be ordered, so no immediate gratification....). We were thinking to do a little hiking/caching after Reeka moved on, but we'd pretty much gotten all the caches in this area of the park. We decided it made a good place to go anyway, so we went for a walk. We took the chance to place a cache while out here.

The area/trail was so nice, I can see this expanding to a 1/10th mile series in the park, though I'd hesitate to call terrains this high a power trail. We'll see as time progresses. :)

The madness to this one is dedicated to a fellow cacher who also likes crazy tree climbers; check out the Chelsea area caches with Madness in the name from TeamFMA. :)

When climbing this tree, please keep in mind that oaks are SOLID trees, even after branches die. However, also keep in mind that just cuz they were solid when I was there doesn't mean they won't get less so over time. Also, as a challenge to help keep the area as nice for future finders as well as nature in general: try not to break any branches while doing the find. It _is_ possible... ;D

Lastly: wear stretchy pants. At 6'4", I was pulling my leg to get it lifted enough to continue the climb at one point; it's gonna be a bit more work for someone who's less long legged.

Have fun!

Congrats to MollyMaidMichigan for the FTF!
