Το νησάκι Λογαράς

Η καλύτερη ώρα για να επισκεφτείτε αυτή την κρύπτη είναι το απόγευμα, όταν ο ήλιος δύει στο ακρωτήρι Άγιος Φωκάς , και ο ορίζοντας γεμίζει χρώματα. Ιδιαίτερα αν στον ουρανό υπάρχουν μερικά σύννεφα. Η θάλασσα του Αιγαίου είναι απλωμένη στα πόδια σας και μπορείτε να δείτε την Χίο τα Ψαρά και τα παράλια της Μικράς Ασίας .
Το μικρό νησάκι κοντά στην ακτή λέγεται Λογαράς και οι ντόπιοι ψαράδες ισχυρίζονται ότι ο καιρός αλλάζει σε αυτό ακριβώς το σημείο! Έτσι αν δεν μπορείτε να κάνετε το μπανάκι σας στο «Πλωμάρι» δοκιμάστε στην δυτικότερη παραλία της «Μελίντας». Αν πάλι δεν μπορείτε να ψαρέψετε λόγω καιρού στην «Μελίντα» προσπαθήστε στο «Πλωμάρι».
Ο δρόμος που ακολουθείτε χρειάστηκε εκατό χρόνια για να τελειώσει (από το 1908 έως το 2007!) και ακόμη κάποια έργα του, όπως προστατευτικά έργα για την πτώση βράχων, δεν έχουν ακόμη τελειώσει ή καν αρχίσει ! Η κατάρα των Ελληνικών δημοσίων έργων…

Logaras Island

The site is best to be visited at afternoon, when the sun becomes red and the view is full of colors. Especially if in the sky are some clouds. The Aegean sea is at your feet and you can see very far away including Turkey, Chios and Psara Islands.
The small rocky island close to the shore is called "Logaras" and the fishermen of the area believe that the weather changes at this exact point! So if you can't swim on Plomari area you can try the Melinda area. And if you can't fish at Melinda due to weather, you will at Plomari!
The 6.5 kilometers of road from Plomari to Melinda took about 100 years to finish (from 1908 to 2007) and still some works like protection from falling rocks are not finished or never started! That’s our curse...
