Geocache Description:

A small cache with only room for the log. (Please bring your own pen). It is easily accessible and on street parking is available nearby. Unscrew the top to open the cache.

The cache is located at Eastwood park. G.A. Eastwood purchased Hasland House, with the adjoining 15 acres of land and donated it to the borough, in memory of his late father who was a native of Hasland. He wanted it to be known as Hasland Park.

The deputy Mayor C.P. Markham suggested that it should be named Eastwood Park. Alderman Eastwood at the time declined the suggestion. However the donors modesty was later overcome so it was named Eastwood Park.

This is the first cache I have created, with a little help from my dad (Spire67)and would really appreciate any comments or feedback on the cache. If you like the cache please award it a favourite.

It would be great to see any pictures of the park. However please do not post any pictures of the cache itself.

If you look for, but do not locate the cache, please log a DNF as this will help me assess if the difficulty rating is correct.

Many thanks to O2J for the inspiration for creating this cache.
