Geocache Description:

Powerline Boulder Twins is a tradional cache located just past the Upper South Fork Campbell Creek crossing up the Powerline Trail from Glen Alps.

The cache can be an end destination or one of those found on your way to or fro the other caches in the area!

The cache is a Mega Bison located at two boulders that called out to me on my way down from placing a cache on the Avalanche Mountains.

The cache is accessile from the Glen Alps Parking Area. Hike, bike or run up the Powerline Trail to just past the Upper South Fork Campbell Creek crossing. From there cross country though the tundra and berries to the cache. The distance from Glen Alps is approximately 5-1/2 miles.

The crowberries in this area were plentiful and big around the cache. I also saw moose, sheep, ptarmigan and just missed seeing a wolverine according to a photographer I met today.

The cache is winter accessible but tools may be necessary to find.

The original contents of the cache are some pathtags, a log and pencil, a couple of trackables and a dollar coin for the FTF.

This cache is placed under Chugach State Park Permit No 11-007

Note: I had planned on listing some waypoints that I listed in my notes on my iphone but I learned this morning that iphones and water don't mix!!!!! Lost a lot of data and photos as well...Sync often!!!!

Congrats to 'grnqrtr' on the FTF!!!!
