SWE: Kyrkan heter egentligen Sankta Maria Kyrkan men kallas Skurups kyrka i folkmun. Kyrkan byggdes på 1100-talet men har som de flesta kyrkor fått erfara en del påbyggnader under medeltiden och senare renässans samt under 1800-talet. Kyrkan är byggd efter den traditionella bysantiska stilen som många svenska kyrkor har anammat med kor och absid. Kyrkan prydds på många ställen av målningar som visar händelser hämtade från Jesu liv. På predikstolen som byggdes på 1600-talet och sägs kunna vara en gåva från den tidens inhysta på Svaneholms Slott hittar vi de fyra evangelisterna Matteus, Johannes, Paulus och Lukas.
ENG: The name of the church is The Church of Saint Mary but is more often just referred to as The Church of Skurup. The church was built in the 12th century, although it has been improved and remodeled over the years covering the medieval times and the renaissance being changed all the way to the 19th century were it got its current look. The church is built after the traditional byzantine style like most of the Swedish churches with choir and apse. The paintings on the inside of the church wall show events brought from the life of the Christ. The pulpit which is said to be a gift from the residents of Svaneholms Castle shows us the four evangelists Matthew, John, Mark and Luke.
