Join us for an afternoon
of good grub, and geocaching madness at the Pozo Saloon on Saturday
10/22 at high noon.

If you are familiar with my geocaches, you will
know that I'm somewhat of a history buff, and the Pozo Saloon goes
all the way back to 1858. The formerly bustling town of Pozo
was a popular inland route to the valley and boasted a hotel,
blacksmith shop, post office, barber shop, grocery store and the
saloon and dance hall. Today only the saloon and part of the Pozo
Hotel are still standing.

Before the event,
brianweeks, Bunky1021, and myself will be placing a total of 40
geocaches in the area around Pozo. Please do not attempt any
"precognative" caching. There will be plenty of FTF opportunities
for all. The restaurant features a full lunch menu including
appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, chili, salads, desserts,
etc. The saloon is stocked with draft beer, bottled beer, and
wine from the Pozo Valley Vineyad. For more info on the Pozo
Saloon, just click the "related web page" link
above.
Please RSVP by
doing a "will attend" log entry to this cache ASAP.
We will provide nametags for all who show
up.
New and
experienced geocachers are welcome. Hope to see you all
there!
