This is one of my favorite places on earth. This busy little General Aviation airport boasts many projects being worked on in the various hangars (drive around and peek in - people are very friendly!), the Wings and Wheels Museum, EAA Chapter 1414, the quaint little antique gas station where you'll be parking, and Bel Air Estates. Not far from GZ is a redish/orangish abandoned Control Tower. Enjoy the planes taking off and touching down. In accordance with geocaching rules, this cache is not ON airport property, but is on museum property that is open to the public and the public has full permission to utilize the museum property. Stay off active taxiways and runways and airport property. The grass by the lake is great for a picnic lunch. If you happen to make it here on the 2nd Sunday of the month between May and October the EAA Chapter hosts a pancake breakfast and
free airplane rides for ages 8-17 (with parental consent) offered by the volunteers of the Young Eagles program.
