3hrs to reach the cache on a steep but well formed track. 5.5hrs
roundtrip. Be aware of mountain safety and be well prepared for
changeable conditions!
Magnificent views on a fine day. Absolutely worth the effort. From
the cache, a 20 minute walk will give you views to Ruapehu! One of
the best ways to get to the open alpine tops in the north island.
Excellant hut at the top, perfect place for lunch and shelter.
