Along the South Coast Path, from Challaborough, heading towards Arymer Cove. We park at the following co-ordinates ( 50° 17.327'N 3° 53.918'W ) as we use the beech for the day, there is usually a charge of between £2.50 and £5 for the day and if that car park is full there is another in a field a bit further on.
My son has chosen this location as we are always using the beach at Challaborough for body boarding. The walks around this area are spectacular at any time of the year. This site has been chosen because of the views in both directions. Burgh Island and Bigbury to your left, separated by the tombola, and Arymer Cove to your right.
From the car park located at Challaborough take the South Coast Path, initially up a steep incline, until it levels out (as there are cliffs here please ensure that you stick to the path). Continue along the path until you reach a fork in the path. There is a small ruin below you where the cache is hidden. Unsuitable for wheelchairs and buggies. Take in the beautiful views but do take care with small children. A small lock and lock container with some swaps. There is a £1 coin for FTF and my sons first TravelBug to start its, hopefully, long journey.
Initial contents are marble, gogo, badge, dice, dolphin pendant, pencil and pad. This cache has been placed with the kind permission of the South Devon Office of the National Trust. THERE IS NO NEED TO MOVE ANY OF THE BRICKS FROM THE RUIN IN ORDER TO FIND THIS CACHE, PLEASE DO NOT RUIN THE RUIN.
