The base of Burke Mountain is slowly being developed, with woods and trails giving way to houses and condos. But there are still some trees and trails to be found, nestled in between the roads, and some nice little spots for geocaches.
This cache will take you on a short little walk along a marked trail that takes you from Coast Meridian Road to Canary Place. Parking is available on either of those two roads, but be cautious if you park on Coast Meridian, as the street is narrow there and there is sometimes truck traffic from the quarry up the hill.
The cache itself is a camouflaged micro. Not really room for items, and please BYOP. To get to it you may have to get just a little dirty, and reach into those uncomfortable corners where crawling and biting things sometimes hide, so it's not for the squeamish. The name will make sense when you find it.
