De Cordova Bend Dam Park Traditional Cache

This is our first cache and is located in what is normally a beautiful lakeside park near a dam. However, as Texas has been hit hard by drought this year, the area is not nearly as majestic as it has been in the past (and will be again). Nonetheless, it offers a great view of Lake Granbury, home to the Granbury Pirates! Located near the cache are bathrooms, a boat dock, and even a buoyed swim area (when the water is at-level). There are also picnic tables with grills, so pack a picnic!
To find this cache, think about where you'd find the very best view of the dam when located in the park. You won't have to get muddy, and you can snag a few fish while you're there. Watch for muggles, as this can be a busy spot when the weather is gorgeous and the water levels are normal.
