Welcome to the York County Hike's version of the power trail. Enjoy the hike through a truly scenic area of York County - waterfalls, huge rock formations, and picturesque river overlooks highlight the (at times) rugged Mason Dixon Trail. Follow the blue blazes as there are lots of caches to find - you just have to decide how to get there. Park at either Apollo County Park off Boyd Road or approach from parking off Green Branch Road. Enjoy!
This cache is a nano - yes a nano in the middle of nowhere. Used a prop I found along the trail - BYOP of course.
10/20/2011 - I drove down to the Green Branch parking for the trailhead by using Old Bridgeville Road off of Route 425 - there is a sign that says road closed but you can make it to the parking with an SUV or truck with no problem as there is a house close by. The section of road closed is on Green Branch between the posted parking and where Douglas Road meets Green Branch. If you access this area off of Chapel Church Road you will need to add an extra half mle to the hike as you will need to park before the massive boulders on the road. This cache is much closer to Apollo and Boyd Road - just wanted to post here for planning purposes if jockeying cars.
